Owner Note: Purchased this vehicle
in approx. 2007 from Ray Fox who owned the car for many years.
There is an Arkansas certificate of title with date of 18Sep1974,
James A. Cogdell of Little Rock. Followup Note (02Aug2010): Cogdell informs that he purchased the car from Albert Fawcett of Little Rock then later sold (1975?) at auction thru Kruse in Auburn, Indiana. Research Note (by Myles Twete): The body# stampings in doors and front hood all show 16043, while the rear hood appears to show 16073. Stewart Speedometer datecode of "L8", which indicates August 1919. Thus, assuming the speedometer is original, the earliest this vehicle could be is a 1920 Model. Current thinking however is that the 16xxx body# cars which have some distinctive features over the 9xxx bodies, represent 1921 models, while 9xxx body cars are 1919/20 models and the 17xxx body cars are 1922 models. |
