Owner's remarks: In 2005, The car was purchased by Carroll Hutton of Winfield, West Virginia, from Butch Schultz of South Charleston, West Virginia. Butch Shultz was the owner originally listed for the car on this website. Carroll Hutton is restoring the car. Research Note 10/09/09: Based on the car S/N of 2-1438-7, this car is either a 1919 or 1920 Model 27L. It is likely to have a Speedo date code of July 1919 or earlier. If earlier, there's a chance this might be considered a 1919. Given the 1028xxx motor S/N, it ranks among the other 1920 cars, where of the 2 cars we are calling 1919 the one we know the motor# for is a 458xxx number. So we're calling this a 1920 Model 27L. Note 2/20/15: Great article "Spark for electric cars is nothing new" featuring Carroll Hutton's restored Milburn. Love the groovy striped upholstery! 09 Mar 2017 UPDATE: Washington Times and other sources note that Carroll sold his Milburn to a company in Moscow, Russia: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/jan/22/putnam-car-collector-sends-latest-restoration-to-r/ |
